This is a direct replacement for the 1156 (BA15S single-filament bayonet) bulb in the engine compartment light of the F-150. It uses 18 LED 3-Chip SMD technology for 195-220 lumens of vivid light, lights faster than a stock bulb, and is rated by ORACLE at 100,000 hours, which suits a light that spends most of its life switched off under the hood.
It is sold individually in Cool White, Red or Amber. Red and Amber are offered alongside Cool White for builds that want a different color. No load equalizer is needed for reverse, courtesy, dome, engine compartment or cornering light use.

Fitment-verified for the engine compartment light on Ford F-150 trucks from 1975-1979, 1985-1986, 1988-1991 and 1999-2000 (part number 5105-001 Cool White, 5105-003 Red, 5105-005 Amber). Always verify the factory bulb size and vehicle configuration before ordering.
