The ORACLE 1156 spider bulb is a 15-SMD LED replacement in cool white. ORACLE lists it as a direct OEM replacement with Quick-Fire response, brighter than a stock halogen bulb and covered by a 1 year warranty. The 5050 SMD chips are rated at 100,000 hours of continuous use and the bulb draws about one tenth of the power of the factory bulb. The spider body folds closed so it can pass through the housing opening and is spring loaded to open once it is inserted, which is worth knowing before you try to force it through a tight socket.
Fitment
A universal replacement for sockets that use an 1156 bulb, part number 5106-001. The listing does not name specific vehicles, so match the bulb number in your lamp.

How does it fit into the housing?
The bulb folds closed for insertion and is spring loaded to open once it is in.
Do I need a load equalizer?
Only in a turn signal socket. ORACLE says one is required there to prevent rapid-flash, and not required for brake, reverse or running light use. Load equalizers are sold separately.
Is it sold as a pair?
No, it is a single bulb.
