The Elite HID kit is a plug-and-play HID conversion for the 2016-2023 Tacoma that keeps the factory LED daytime running lights working alongside the new HIDs. It pairs Morimoto XB HID ballasts with H11 XB HID bulbs that are aligned to throw a proper beam pattern, and it includes a Morimoto HD relay harness.
Power runs from 35 to 55W at 4.4A on a 14.0V supply, and the system is rated from -40C to 125C. Color ratings of 3000K golden amber, 4000K OEM warm white, 5000K ice white and 6000K neutral white are available. The 55W ballasts give about 20 percent more lumens and roughly 1000K lower color temperature, by Morimoto's estimate. Rated life is 2,500 hours, or about 3-5 years, and the kit carries a five-year warranty.
Because the kit is built around an H11 base, it is meant for trucks that already use H11 bulbs. The four color ratings let you choose between a warm golden amber and a cooler neutral white, depending on how close to a stock HID look you want.
