A plastic fuel tank cover is fine on the pavement and a liability on the trail. This M.O.R.E. plate replaces the second-gen Sequoia's plastic cover with 3/16-inch aluminum so the tank has real armor under it.
It fits 2008-2022 Toyota Sequoia models with the 26-gallon tank only, and installs with four bolts at the factory hole locations. M.O.R.E. lists it at about 24 lb.
One thing to check before you order: unless your Sequoia is a TRD Pro, it most likely needs the rear tank strap Toyota includes with the Tundra off-road package, which has two bolt studs pointing down from the bottom of the tank. Toyota part number 77602-0C150 is available through a Toyota dealer.
Choose bare aluminum or Pure Black, Tactical Gray, Flame Red or Desert Sand powder coat; bare plates will show scratches from manufacturing. M.O.R.E. builds aluminum skids to order and quotes up to 10 business days to ship.
M.O.R.E. (Mountain Off-Road Enterprises) has been making off-road parts in Delta, Colorado since 1978, and designs and builds its parts in-house in the USA. Coverage is the RockProof Lifetime Warranty: if the part fails, M.O.R.E. repairs or replaces it for the original retail purchaser for as long as they own the vehicle. Finish wear, improper installation, accident damage, labor and shipping fall outside that coverage.

M.O.R.E. Gas Tank Skid Plate 26 Gallon (Aluminum) FAQs
Will this fit the larger fuel tank?
No. It is listed for the 26-gallon tank only.
Do I need any extra parts?
Non-TRD Pro Sequoias most likely need Toyota's rear fuel tank strap, part number 77602-0C150, from a Toyota dealer.
How long does it take to ship?
Aluminum plates are built to order. M.O.R.E. quotes up to 10 business days.
Should I pick bare aluminum or a powder coat color?
M.O.R.E. notes bare aluminum may show some scratches from manufacturing. Powder coat (Pure Black, Tactical Gray, Flame Red or Desert Sand) gives a finished color but will wear where the plate meets rock, and finish wear is not covered by the warranty.
What does the warranty cover?
M.O.R.E.'s RockProof Lifetime Warranty covers product failure for the original retail purchaser for as long as they own the vehicle. The powder coat finish is a wear item and is not covered, and install labor, shipping, altered parts and wrong-vehicle installs are excluded.
