Moving the leaf springs from under the axle to on top of it is one of the oldest ways to gain lift and articulation on a leaf-sprung rig. This M.O.R.E. spring over kit gives you the parts to mount the springs on top of a Dana 60 axle, built to M.O.R.E.'s Bomb Proof standard.
The spring perches and U-bolt plates are 1/4 inch plate steel, and the shock mounts are 3/16 inch plate, which is thick for parts like these. The U-bolt plates have 5/8 inch holes sized for 9/16 inch U-bolts.
Be realistic about the job. A spring-over conversion is a fabrication project: it typically means removing the old perches and welding new ones to the axle, then sorting out pinion angle, driveshaft length, brake lines and steering. If you are not a confident welder, have a shop handle the axle work. U-bolts are not listed as part of the kit. M.O.R.E. (Mountain Off-Road Enterprises) has been building Jeep parts in Delta, Colorado since 1978, when Chris Overacker started the company in his home garage. Parts are designed in 3D CAD, laser cut and welded in-house in the USA.
M.O.R.E. backs its parts with the RockProof Lifetime Warranty for the original retail purchaser, for as long as they own the vehicle, against product failure. Rubber, urethane and the finish are treated as wear items and are not covered, and neither is labor or shipping.
