M.O.R.E. Long Travel Shock Mount Cage - Jeep CJ 1972-1986

If you have lifted a CJ and want more out of your shocks, the factory mounts are usually the limit. This M.O.R.E. Long Travel shock mount cage gives a 1972-1986 Jeep CJ a bolt-on way to run longer-travel shocks.

On 1982 and newer frames, it bolts to existing holes with no drilling, grinding or welding. 1972-1981 frames need some modification, though M.O.R.E. describes it as minor. Either way, it is a lot less work than fabricating mounts from scratch.

Once the mounts are on, choose shocks that match your actual suspension travel. Cycle the suspension, check for contact with the body or tires, and confirm your brake lines still have slack at full droop. M.O.R.E. (Mountain Off-Road Enterprises) has been building Jeep parts in Delta, Colorado since 1978, when Chris Overacker started the company in his home garage. Parts are designed in 3D CAD, laser cut and welded in-house in the USA.
