How to make a M.O.R.E. warranty claim
- Get a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number first; M.O.R.E. won't accept a warranty return without one
- Have a copy of your original receipt showing where you bought it, the date and the price paid
- Ship the part back freight prepaid and insured, following the instructions from the dealer you bought it from

The back half of a CJ frame works hard around the rear axle and shackle hangers. M.O.R.E.'s rear frame plates add 3/16" steel to the outside of the rails through that whole section, plus extra pieces for the hanger area.
You get a set of four. The two main plates are about 3-1/2 feet long, starting at the rear body mount outrigger and running up over the rear axle to the crossmember. Two smaller lower plates reinforce the frame around the rear shackle hangers. Everything is contour-cut to the frame and comes with holes already punched.
These are for 1976-1986 CJ5, CJ6, CJ7 and CJ8 frames. On a CJ8 Scrambler they fit, but the long plates stop short of the rear crossmember. They do not fit 1972-1975 CJs.
Like the front plates, these are weld-on. Grind the frame clean, clamp the plates tight and weld in short sections to limit warping. Expect to pull the rear of the Jeep apart enough to get good access around the axle and hangers. A competent welder or a local fab shop is the right call here.

Will these fit a 1974 CJ?
No. M.O.R.E. says the rear plates will not fit 1972-1975 CJs. They are for 1976-1986.
Do they work on a CJ8 Scrambler?
Yes, but on the CJ8 the long plates do not reach all the way to the rear crossmember.
What is included?
Four pieces: two long plates for the frame rails and two lower plates for the shackle hanger area.
What does the warranty cover?
M.O.R.E. backs it with the RockProof Lifetime Warranty for the original retail buyer for as long as they own the vehicle, covering product failure. Finish, rubber and urethane are wear items and not covered, nor are altered parts, wrong-vehicle installs, improper installation, fire or accident. Install labor and shipping are excluded.
