M.O.R.E. Lubeable Front Shackles - Jeep CJ 1976-1986

M.O.R.E.'s lubeable front shackles for the CJ replace the stock pieces with a greaseable pivot you can service with a grease gun.

They fit the front of 1976-1986 Jeep CJs with 2 in. wide springs. At 4 in. center to center, they give about 1/2 in. of lift at the shackle, which works out to roughly 1/4 in. at the Jeep.

M.O.R.E. laser cuts these shackles from 3/8 in. steel. Each bolt is drilled and carries a zerk that feeds grease to the black, channeled polyurethane bushings, and Crimp-Loc nuts keep the whole stack clamped tight. The gold zinc plating gives them a clean finish. A thick-walled center brace bolts between the side plates with grade 5 hardware. Shackles are sold in pairs, so order two pairs if you are doing both ends of the Jeep.

With the Jeep safely supported, swap one side at a time, torque to spec, grease the zerks until fresh grease shows, and recheck after the first trail run. After that, add grease as part of routine service.
