M.O.R.E. Rear Cross Frame Plates - Jeep CJ 1976-1986

M.O.R.E. calls the stock frame design weak, and these plates are its fix. These M.O.R.E. frame plates are 3/16 inch thick steel, cut to the contour of the frame, and weld to the outside of the rails to add strength where the stock design is weak.

This set is for the rear of the Jeep CJ 1976-1986. M.O.R.E. says they can fit 1972-1975 CJs with minor modification. The holes are pre-punched to line up with the frame, which makes positioning straightforward.

To be clear, these are frame plates only, not a crossmember. They are a weld-on part, so you will need welding skills or a fab shop. Clean the frame to bare metal where the plates go, check for rust thin spots before you weld, and coat everything afterward so new rust does not start under the plates. M.O.R.E. (Mountain Off-Road Enterprises) has been building Jeep parts in Delta, Colorado since 1978, when Chris Overacker started the company in his home garage. Parts are designed in 3D CAD, laser cut and welded in-house in the USA.
