How to make a M.O.R.E. warranty claim
- Get a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number first; M.O.R.E. won't accept a warranty return without one
- Have a copy of your original receipt showing where you bought it, the date and the price paid
- Ship the part back freight prepaid and insured, following the instructions from the dealer you bought it from

Toyota protects the Tacoma's fuel tank with a plastic cover, and plastic does not stand up to a sharp rock. M.O.R.E.'s gas tank skid replaces it with 3/16 inch aluminum plate.
The plate weighs about 24 pounds and installs with four bolts at the factory hole locations. Bare aluminum can show light scratches from manufacturing; powder coat covers that.
Fits 2005–2015 and 2016–2021 Toyota Tacoma with the TRD package. Without TRD, you will need factory gas tank straps from a Toyota dealer before it will mount. Pick bare aluminum or one of four powder-coat colors.
Lead time: M.O.R.E. makes aluminum skid plates to order and quotes up to 10 business days for bare aluminum; powder coating other than black can take up to 15 additional business days. M.O.R.E. has been building off-road parts in Delta, Colorado since Chris Overacker started the company in his garage in 1978. Parts are designed in 3D CAD, cut on Mazak lasers and welded by certified welders, all in-house in the USA.

My Tacoma is not a TRD. Will it fit?
Yes, but you will need to order the factory gas tank straps from your Toyota dealer first.
What does it replace?
The factory plastic fuel tank cover.
Will bare aluminum have marks?
Yes, expect some scratches from the manufacturing process on bare aluminum. Pick a powder-coat color if you want to avoid that.
How long does it take?
Made to order: up to 10 business days bare, and powder coat other than black can add up to 15.
What does the warranty cover?
M.O.R.E.'s RockProof Lifetime Warranty covers product failure for the original retail buyer for as long as they own the vehicle. The powder coat or other finish and any rubber or urethane parts are treated as wear items and are not covered, nor are altered parts, improper installs, or fire and accident damage. M.O.R.E. repairs or replaces at its discretion; labor and shipping are not included.
