How to make a M.O.R.E. warranty claim
- Get a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number first; M.O.R.E. won't accept a warranty return without one
- Have a copy of your original receipt showing where you bought it, the date and the price paid
- Ship the part back freight prepaid and insured, following the instructions from the dealer you bought it from

The 4.0L TJ carries its oil pan, transmission and exhaust crossover tube low, and the crossover tube is usually the first casualty on a rock ledge. M.O.R.E.'s combination skid plate protects all three with a single plate so you can push farther into the rough stuff.
It is 1/4" aluminum with 1/4" steel plate on the mounting arms, and M.O.R.E. lists it at 32 lb. It bolts up in factory locations and has an oil drain access hole for routine changes. Choose bare aluminum or Pure Black powder coat. Aluminum is the lighter option; it costs more than steel.
It fits 1997-2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ models with the 4.0L six. If you have an aftermarket front axle, check driver-side clearance at full stuff; the fins on the center section may need trimming.
Aluminum skid plates are made to order, and M.O.R.E. says they may need up to 10 business days before shipping. For 2003-2006 TJ and 2004-2006 LJ, there is a separate plate.

Yes, the plate has an oil drain access hole.
I have a 2004 TJ. Will this fit?
No. This plate is for 1997-2002 TJs. Use M.O.R.E.'s 2003-2006 TJ / 2004-2006 LJ version.
How long does it take to ship?
It is made to order; M.O.R.E. says aluminum skid plates may need up to 10 business days before shipping.
What does the warranty cover?
M.O.R.E.'s RockProof Lifetime Warranty covers product failure for the original retail purchaser for as long as they own the vehicle. Powder coat and other finishes, rubber and urethane are wear items and are not covered, and neither are install labor, shipping, altered parts or wrong-vehicle installs.
