The factory rear bump stops are adequate on a street-driven truck, but ICON found plenty of room for improvement once you start driving hard on rough terrain. This hydraulic bump stop system for the 2023-2026 Toyota Sequoia is designed to improve bottom-out control in the rear suspension and cut down on rear end kick.
Like ICON's other hydraulic bump stops, it is both velocity and position sensitive. As shaft speed rises and the shaft moves deeper into its travel, the resisting force climbs exponentially, which gives strong bottoming resistance without hurting articulation.
Factory rubber stops absorb a limited amount of energy and release it quickly on rebound, which feels harsh and handles poorly on rough ground. ICON's digressive rebound piston valving releases that energy in a more controlled way, so handling is more predictable.

Install notes
ICON developed it as an OEM replacement, so installation is a bolt-on job with no major cutting, welding or fabrication. Because of that, you can return the vehicle to stock form later.
