This is the connector skid plate for 2005–2023 Toyota Tacomas running a Backwoods front bumper. It is cut from .25" aluminum and fills the space between the bumper and the skid plates behind it. One thing to know up front: it only works with Backwoods Tacoma front bumpers.
Why it works
Aluminum plate at a quarter inch is a sensible middle ground — strong enough for rock contact, light enough that you are not adding steel weight under the nose. Drain holes let air through and keep mud and water from collecting on the plate. It ships with a black powder coat and grade 8 hardware, and it is made in the USA.
