Bump stop extensions do one job: they stop the axle from running out of travel against the frame, shock or fender. These Clayton Off Road front extensions are CNC-machined from ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, a material that takes repeated impacts and shrugs off wear. Each block measures 3x4 inches.
The point is protection. By cutting off the last bit of compression, they keep a lifted Jeep from over-compressing the front suspension and banging into components that are expensive to replace, including shocks and fenders. UHMW is light, so you are not adding meaningful weight to the axle.
Fitment
Made for Jeep Wrangler JK and JL (2007 through current) and Gladiator JT (2020 on). The listing groups them as one kit for JK, JL and JT, but the install differs: the JK needs a new hole drilled in the front axle perch, while JL and JT use the existing factory hole on the perch.
What's included
Two front bump stop extensions. The 3/8-16 nut for mounting is supplied.
Install notes
On a JK, plan for drilling the axle perch before the nut and extension go on. On a JL or JT, it bolts to the factory hole, so no drilling is needed.

Do I have to drill anything?
On a JK, yes. You drill a new hole in the front axle perch. On a JL or JT, the factory hole in the perch is used, so no drilling.
What is included in the kit?
Two front bump stop extensions, plus the 3/8-16 nut used to secure them.
What are they made of?
CNC-machined ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW).
Do they fit the Gladiator?
