What's covered

  • Products free from defects in design, material and workmanship for the term above
  • Applies to the original purchaser with proof of purchase

What's not covered

  • Improper installation
  • Racing, competition or off-road use, as Bilstein's off-road warranty page words it
  • Modified use, or use on vehicles Bilstein doesn't recommend
  • Commercial vehicles
  • Bent or broken rods showing abuse or abnormal wear
  • Surface finish, boots, mounting hardware and rubber bushings
  • Labor charges
  • Aftermarket modifications such as springs or top hats

How to make a Bilstein warranty claim

  • Start with the place you bought the shocks (that's us, if you bought from NVMOS)
  • If the original seller can't help, email Bilstein's warranty team to confirm the part is warrantable and get a Warranty Evaluation Form. Don't send shocks in without contacting them first
  • Ship the shocks, proof of purchase and the completed form using the label on the form, with tracking and signature. Don't ship with loaded springs, and if a shock is leaking, bag it rather than cleaning it
  • Bilstein's quality and warranty teams evaluate the part and contact you with the result

About the brand

Bilstein

Bilstein is the German suspension company that put the first monotube gas-pressure shock on a production car in 1957. For trucks and SUVs, its B8 5100, 6112, 5160 and 8100/8112 lines are a go-to for lifted and leveled rigs, and the B6 4600 and B4 lines cover trucks at factory height.

Bilstein B8 8100 (DSA) Front Left Shock Absorber (2-3 in. Lift) for Jeep Wrangler (2018-2026) & Jeep Gladiator (2020-2026)

A front left B8 8100 (DSA) shock for the Jeep Wrangler JL (2018-2026) and Jeep Gladiator JT (2020-2026), made for 2-3 in. of front lift. It is a large-bore 60 mm (2.65 in. OD) monotube with a remote reservoir and click adjusters for low- and high-speed compression. This is the left side only, so order the opposite side separately if you are doing both corners.

Why it works
Matched to the liftSized for vehicles running 2-3 in. of front lift, so shock length lines up with the raised ride height.
Remote reservoirA separate reservoir gives the large-bore body extra oil volume to manage heat on long rough stretches.
Dual speed adjustmentClick knobs set low- and high-speed compression separately, so you can tune it for the trail or the road.
