The BantamX Touchscreen system is a universal eight-circuit power module with a touchscreen control panel. Only one ethernet cable runs into the cab, and the vendor says there is no cutting, no fishing wires and no tapping into factory wiring.
The module has eight circuits at 30A each, a 16-position terminal block, two RJ45 controller ports and low voltage cutoff with an optional override. It runs on 12 or 24 VDC, and uses current-sensing MOSFETs in place of fuses and relays. Up to four BantamX units can be daisy chained to one touchscreen, and one screen can control up to 32 circuits.
The touchscreen shows battery voltage, amperage for each switch and board temperature, and takes three lines of text for legends. The trade-off is cold: the vendor says it becomes inoperable below 20 degrees F, so let the cab warm up before using it.
Fitment
Universal. Choose a 36-inch or 84-inch battery cable set.
The touchscreen does not come with an arm or base. A RAM-201U double socket arm for 1-inch balls is required to mount it, with a RAM-238U base or RAM-224-1U suction cup base, all sold separately.
What's included
The BantamX module, a touchscreen control panel with its own mounting bracket, and a battery cable set in 36 or 84 inches. Ask us for a full contents check before ordering.
Install notes
Bluetooth in the touchscreen is for programming rather than remote control, with a range of roughly 5 to 15 feet.
