The Bantam keeps an eye on the battery it is wired to. If voltage falls below 11.6V, the Bantam shuts itself down after two minutes, and it will not wake up again until it sees 12.8V or more, which in practice means starting the engine so the charging system can bring the battery back up.
This bypass jumper changes both rules. It turns off the 11.6V shutdown, and it overrides the 12.8V minimum so the Bantam can power on below that number. The trade-off is plain: with the cutoff disabled, nothing is stopping the system from drawing the battery down, so that part is on you.
Fitment
Universal. It is a jumper for the sPOD Bantam, not a vehicle-specific part.
The vendor says the bypass is required if your Bantam will be disconnected from the vehicle battery often, for example when you use a master power switch, or when starting the vehicle is not allowed.

Baja Designs sPOD Bantam Low Voltage Bypass FAQs
When do I need this?
When the Bantam will often be disconnected from the battery, such as with a master power switch, or when starting the vehicle is prohibited.
What does it actually change?
It disables the normal 11.6V low voltage shutdown and lets the Bantam power on below the usual 12.8V minimum.
Will it work with a BantamX?
The vendor describes it for the Bantam. If you plan to pair it with another sPOD unit, ask us first.
Does it protect my battery?
No. It turns off the low voltage protection, so you need to watch battery condition yourself.
