About XKGLOW

XKGLOW was started in 2009 by two founders with industrial design backgrounds and a habit of building lights for their own cars and motorcycles. It began in a home shop, moved through a small commercial space in Athens, Illinois, and now runs out of Springfield. The company says most of its small team are designers, and products go from sketches to CAD models to in-house 3D-printed prototypes, with the same files used for production.

The brand is best known for app control. Its XKchrome Bluetooth system lets one phone app run color, patterns and modes across multiple lights, and the newer XKalpha system adds addressable RGBW effects. If you want plain white work lights, there are simpler options in the catalog too, but the controllers are where XKGLOW stands apart.

Most of the line is universal mount, so it fits Tacomas, 4Runners, Wranglers and Gladiators, Broncos, full-size trucks and vans alike once you pick the right bracket and bulb size.

How to choose

Pick a control system first: XKchrome and XKalpha kits are separate ecosystems. Decide which one you are building around before buying add-on pods or strips, and check that each add-on lists the same system.

Know your beam pattern: Spot beams throw light far down the trail, flood beams spread it wide around the truck, and combo bars do some of both. For a bumper bar on a trail rig, combo is the usual safe choice; for camp and work lighting, go flood.

Match bulb and headlight sizes: LED bulbs are listed by socket, such as H11, 9005 or 7443, and round headlights by diameter. Check your owner's manual or the old bulb before ordering.

Install and seal carefully: XKGLOW's warranty excludes water intrusion caused by poor installation or sealing and damage from incorrect wiring. Use the supplied harnesses, seal connections and fuse each circuit.

Check local rules for accent lights: Underglow, colored accent rings and strobe modes are restricted on public roads in many states. Treat them as off-road or parked-use features unless you know your local rules.

Lead times & shipping

NVMOS dropships XKGLOW orders from the brand or its distributor. In-stock items generally ship in 1-3 business days, and items stocked at the manufacturer take about 1-2 weeks. Almost all XKGLOW parts ship by parcel carrier; only the longest light bars might need oversize handling. You will get tracking from us once the order leaves.

XKGLOW warranty

XKGLOW moved from a three-year warranty to a limited lifetime warranty in May 2026, applied retroactively to eligible products bought since May 2023. Most products are now covered for as long as the original buyer owns them, select products marked as such carry five years, powder coat and exterior finishes carry one year against peeling, cracking or flaking, and commercial or heavy-duty use carries five years. Coverage requires proof of purchase from XKGLOW or an authorized dealer and includes LED failures, controller malfunctions and wiring defects under normal on-road and light off-road use. XKGLOW replaces rather than refunds, does not pay labor, and excludes installation errors, impact damage, deep water submersion, power surges and cosmetic fading. Read our XKGLOW warranty summary.
