About Rival 4x4

Rival was founded in 2006 and runs its own factories in Turkey and Kazakhstan, with RIVAL USA handling the American market from Houston under the line Designed in Texas. Besides its own brand, Rival develops and supplies factory accessory programs for Ford, Toyota, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Kia, Renault and INEOS.

The core of the line is underbody protection deep-stamped from aluminum rather than bent or welded from steel. The plates are powder coated matte metallic silver, come with their mounting hardware, and Rival lists plates such as the 4Runner TRD connection plate as no-drill. Many have openings so oil changes can be done with the plate in place. Aluminum saves weight over steel and does not rust, but it scratches and gouges on rock, and Rival treats that kind of wear as use, not a defect.

What we carry from Rival 4x4

Most of what we carry from Rival is aluminum skid plates: engine, radiator, transmission, transfer case, catalytic converter, gas tank, differential, lower control arm and sway bar plates, plus a few full sets. We list them for the Toyota Tacoma, 4Runner, Tundra and Land Cruiser, Lexus GX and LX, Jeep Wrangler JK and JL and Gladiator, Ford Bronco, Ranger, Ranger Raptor, F-150 and Maverick, Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Ram 1500 and the INEOS Grenadier and Quartermaster. We also carry Rival's aluminum front bumpers for the Wrangler, Gladiator and Ranger Raptor, a rear stubby bumper for the JL, an aluminum roof rack for the Ranger, rated recovery points, hood lifts for the JL and JT, and LED lights. Many plates are specific to an engine or drivetrain, such as EcoBoost versus PowerBoost or i-Force versus i-Force Max, so match the plate to your exact truck.

How to choose

Match the drivetrain, not just the model: Rival splits many plates by engine and drivetrain: EcoBoost or PowerBoost on the F-150, i-Force or i-Force Max on the new Tacoma, FX4 or Raptor on the Ranger. Check the listing notes before you order.

Aluminum or steel: Rival's aluminum plates are lighter and will not rust, which matters for a daily driver on salted roads. Expect scrapes and dents on rock; Rival counts those as use-related wear, not defects.

Build the set in order: Most trucks have separate plates for the engine, transmission, transfer case and fuel tank. Buying the plates that fit together for your truck at once saves crawling under it twice.

Prep the hardware: Rival's fasteners have a zinc flake coating that can leave residue in the threads. Run a tap through the nut plates or thread the bolts in a few times before the install.

Keep it stock underneath: Rival bases fitment on vehicles in factory configuration and does not guarantee fit around aftermarket modifications. If you have changed the exhaust, suspension or bumpers, call before you order.

Lead times & shipping

NVMOS dropships Rival orders from the brand's US stock or a distributor. In-stock parts usually leave in 1-3 business days, and items stocked at the manufacturer take about 1-2 weeks. Skid plates and accessories ship by parcel carrier; larger plates and bumpers come in big boxes but normally do not need freight. Inspect the box and the plate at delivery and photograph any shipping damage. We send tracking as soon as it is issued.

Rival 4x4 warranty

RIVAL USA does not publish a written warranty term on its website. Its terms say a product-specific written warranty, where one exists, controls, and otherwise RIVAL reviews reported manufacturing defects case by case; once it confirms a defect it may provide replacement components, replace the product, repair it or refund it. A report of a problem does not by itself qualify a product, and RIVAL may ask for photos, video, vehicle and installation details, proof of purchase and batch information. Damage from impacts, terrain contact, collisions, misuse, improper installation, modification, improper maintenance, competition use or overloading is not a defect, and scratches, gouges, dents and coating wear on armor are treated as use.
