About Nokhu

Nokhu makes car-camping gear with one stated purpose: get people away from everyday noise without needing a dedicated camper. Its core product is an adjustable steel-and-pine sleeping platform that sits in the cargo area, needs no drilling, and telescopes to fit a long list of vehicles.

Around that platform sit a bi-fold Basin mattress made to match it and the Ledge, a steel camp table that hangs off the vehicle. Everything is handcrafted in the USA from American steel and solid pine, and none of it is tied to one vehicle, so it moves with you to the next one.

What we carry from Nokhu

We carry Nokhu gear in in-vehicle bed solutions: the Nokhu Rack and Half Rack sleep platforms, the Mini Rack for trunk storage, and the 4-inch bi-fold Basin mattress.

The Nokhu Ledge mounts to the vehicle as a steel camp table; you'll also find it with our camp furniture and tailgate and camp tables. Pair any of it with the rest of our overland camping gear.

How to choose

The frame telescopes roughly 44–79 inches long and adjusts 9–15 inches tall in 2-inch steps, so length is rarely the problem. Width is the decision that matters.

• The 25-inch rack suits midsize SUVs and trucks; the 30-inch suits full-size trucks and large SUVs like a Tahoe or Suburban.
• Two sleepers? Two 25s need roughly 40 inches between the wheel wells; two 30s need about 50 inches.
• Nokhu rates the full Rack at 600 lb static and the Half Rack at 500 lb static.
• The Mini Rack is for trunk storage only, not sleeping, and holds up to 250 lb.
• Extending past 72 inches? Strap the platform to your tie-down points.

Lead times & shipping

The brand lists new rack orders as shipping in about 10 days because of demand, and every Basin mattress is made to order with about 10–14 business days of processing. Anything we have in stock at NVMOS ships in 24–48 hours. These are estimates that shift with demand, so check the product page or our current lead times page, or call.

Nokhu warranty

Nokhu doesn't publish a written product warranty. It offers 30-day returns on unused items in original packaging (with a 10% restocking fee) and handles carrier claims for items damaged in transit.
