About Inspired Overland

Inspired Overland was founded in 2021 to make lightweight, durable rooftop tents that more campers could reach. Rather than contracting production, it owns the factories that build its tents, mostly in Vietnam with some components from China, which the company says gives it closer control over quality.

The lineup runs from vinyl-topped Entry Series tents to carbon fiber hardshells like the Carbonlite and the Stargazer, whose clear acrylic roof turns the ceiling into a window. The brand has picked up SEMA recognition along the way.

What we carry from Inspired Overland

In rooftop tents we carry the Standard, the XL and the Stargazer Solo and Duo, plus parts like tent brackets, rainfly rods and T-slot weather strip.

To mount a tent there's Inspired Overland's carbon fiber crossbar kit; see our roof racks for other options. Rounding it out: a carbon fiber 180-degree awning and a heavy-duty car awning in awnings, an awning side tent, a carbon fiber cargo box, a telescopic ladder and a protective cover.

How to choose

Most rooftop tent regret starts on the roof, not in the tent. Check these first.

• Weight: the Standard is 76 lb, the XL 87 lb and the Stargazer Duo 93 lb. Compare that with your rack or crossbar rating.
• Mounting: these tents mount on crossbars rather than a traditional floor panel, so you need crossbars or a rack. Inspired Overland's carbon fiber crossbar kit is sold separately.
• Shell: Entry Series tents have a PVC vinyl top. Carbonlite and Stargazer models use a lighter, stiffer carbon fiber and acrylic shell.
• Delivery: tents arrive by freight, curbside. Line up a helper or equipment to move and mount a box that weighs roughly 80 to 135 lb.

Lead times & shipping

In-stock items ship from NVMOS in 24–48 hours, and some items ship direct from Inspired Overland. Rooftop tents travel by LTL freight with curbside delivery, and transit usually runs 5–10 business days once the carrier picks up. Inspired Overland warranty

Every Inspired Overland product carries the same 2-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, for the original purchaser with proof of purchase. UV fading, normal wear, storm and hail damage, and claims filed more than 30 days after you notice the problem aren't covered. Because dealers are the first stop for claims, start with us.
