About Devos Outdoor

Devos is short for Developing Outdoor Solutions. It's a team of engineers and industrial designers in Springville, Utah who build gear to fix the annoyances they run into while camping and overlanding.

Their best-known fix is the LightRanger: a rechargeable LED head on a telescoping pole and tripod that lights a campsite from overhead. No extension cord or generator needed.

What we carry from Devos Outdoor

LightRanger area lights and bundles, plus replacement poles, tripod bases, lantern heads and colored filter kits. Carry cases and storage bags keep it all together.

For power, we stock AMPak power banks, USB-C wall adapters and cords, and folding solar panels in our camp power section. Rounding it out: a Starlink Mini mount, a SeaSucker light mount, the Outpost camp table and some Devos apparel. None of it is vehicle-specific, so it moves from truck to van to backyard.

How to choose

Choose by the area you need to light, then by how long you need it lit.

  • Model numbers track lumens. The LightRanger 2000 is rated at 2,000 lumens, reaches about 10 feet high and covers roughly an 80-foot circle.
  • Check runtime, not just brightness. Devos rates the 2000 at about 4 hours on high and up to 42 hours on low.
  • LightRangers charge by USB-C and can run from solar panels or battery packs, so an AMPak or panel buys you more nights.
  • Some models, like the 2000, switch between white, amber and red through a Bluetooth app.
