The Backwoods Overland Bed Rack gives a short bed Tacoma, 2005 through current, a mounting platform for a rooftop tent, bikes, kayaks or the rest of your gear. It's USA made, all aluminum, 100% bolt-on and weighs 45 lb on its own.
Why it works
- All-aluminum construction with black powder coat included.
- Top C-channel crossbars add lateral strength.
- Four modular side accessory rails take storage boxes, traction boards and other add-ons.
- The rack sits flush with the cab. Add the optional DRIFTR Topper (about 4" taller, 85 lb total) when a wedge rooftop tent needs to clear the cab.
- On a 4th gen, pair it with the 4th gen DRIFTR roof rack and topper for a full-length flat platform.

No, it sits flush with the cab. The optional DRIFTR Topper adds about 4in when you need tent clearance.
