Factory JK steering is thin for anyone running bigger tires or hitting trails, and a bent tie rod is a long walk home. This package bundles a heavy-duty tie rod and drag link with a matched steering stabilizer so the whole system is upgraded in one purchase.
The steering is the TeraFlex HD forged drag link kit and HD chromoly tie rod kit. The drag link is a fully forged 1.25" O.D. piece that is 50% stiffer than factory and uses an oversized DOM adjusting collar and pinch clamp. The tie rod is 1-5/8" O.D. 4140 heat treated chromoly steel, more than 200% stronger than factory, with a forged housing and joints built with a 4140 chromoly ball and stud in a 1045 carbon steel housing. Joint preload is adjustable, and rotation is limited to 14 degrees to minimize tie rod roll. Both parts clear factory 17" wheels.
It is paired with a Falcon Nexus EF 2.2 Fast Adjust steering stabilizer, which gives a wide range of adjustability through a 3-position fast adjust knob. The listing also notes that the Clayton Off Road Steering Stabilizer Relocation Bracket lets you raise the stabilizer above the tie rod, so it is less likely to catch on rocks or other obstacles.
