The filter ships pre-oiled. Clean it and re-oil with the correct amount listed for your vehicle; the Precision II Cleaning & Oiling Kit includes cleaner, oil and applicator. Watch S&B's video for the steps.

Inspect the filter at every oil change and replace it every 15,000-30,000 miles depending on conditions. Watch S&B's video for how to extend its life.
