The factory hot side pipe on the 6.7L Powerstroke is restrictive and has a reputation for leaking. S&B replaces it with a larger 3 inch aluminum pipe and a 4-ply aramid-reinforced silicone hose, which means better airflow, and better airflow means better performance and durability.
Fitment
Listed for 2016-2027 Ford Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Powerstroke. It will not fit 2023 and newer High Output trucks, which need part 83-2005. Part number 83-2004.
Emissions status
S&B states 2016-2024 F-250, F-350 and F-450 are 50 State Compliant. For 2025-2027 F-250, F-350 and F-450 it is 49 State Legal, pending a CARB model year update. There is no CARB EO for the F-550.

Does it fit High Output trucks?
Not 2023 and newer High Output trucks. S&B points those to part 83-2005.
Is it emissions legal?
S&B lists 2016-2024 F-250/F-350/F-450 as 50 State Compliant, and 2025-2027 as 49 State Legal pending a CARB update. There is no CARB EO for the F-550.
What does it replace?
The restrictive and leak-prone factory hot side pipe.
