This S&B cold air intake is for the heavy-duty Silverado and Sierra 2500 and 3500 with the 6.6L gas engine. Choose a cotton cleanable filter (75-5158) or a dry extendable filter (75-5158D).
It is the gas-engine kit for these trucks, not the Duramax.

Choosing a filter
- 75-5158, cotton cleanable: the filter is washed and re-oiled when it loads up, then goes back in. A good fit if you already do your own maintenance and like reusing a filter.
- 75-5158D, dry extendable: runs without oil, so there is nothing to re-oil and no oil to manage at service time. The lower-maintenance pick.
The two part numbers are listed for the same application; the filter element is the difference. If you are not sure which suits how you drive, ask us.

Why it works
Less restriction than stock
S&B built this intake to flow better than the stock system. The fully enclosed airbox keeps engine heat and dirt away from the filter.
Snap-in lid, no screws
The lid snaps onto the box, so install and filter checks are quick, and it seals out engine heat and debris. The large, high-efficiency filter comes in 8-layer Cotton Cleanable or Dry Extendable media.
Silicone parts rated to 400°F
The filter, coupler, lid seal and box plug are all silicone, so they seal better and last longer. Silicone handles up to 400°F without cracking, tearing or breaking down over time.
Two inlets, optional box plug
The airbox pulls air through a large fender opening and a bottom scoop. An included box plug seals the bottom scoop if you want cooler air. S&B recommends running without the plug except in extreme heat.
No check engine lights
S&B engineers its intakes to run properly on stock calibration or with a tune. A properly mapped Mass Air Flow sensor keeps check engine lights away.
