- Improper installation, alteration, abuse, neglect or accidents
- Corrosion and normal wear
- Off-road damage (with some exceptions RCI decides case by case)
- Freight, labor, installation or downtime costs
- Hook marks from hanging parts for coating, unless the finish fails

- Write a description of the damage and take clear photos
- Include a copy of the original invoice
- RCI inspects the part and decides whether to repair or replace it

This RCI Metalworks transmission skid plate protects the transmission and exhaust on the 2019-2023 Ford Ranger, from rock crawling to mild camping trips. It ties in with RCI front and transfer-case plates, runs on its own, and also works with the OEM front and transfer-case skid plates.
Why it works
- Protects what hangs low: covers the transmission and exhaust.
- Flexible setup: pairs with RCI front and transfer-case plates, works alone, and is compatible with OEM front and transfer-case skids.
- Steel for hard use: 3/16" steel is the heavy-duty option at 38 lbs.
- Aluminum to save weight: 1/4" aluminum weighs 18 lbs, about two-thirds the strength of the steel at half the weight, and cannot rust.
