- Corrosion and normal wear
- Off-road damage (with some exceptions RCI decides case by case)
- Freight, labor, installation or downtime costs
- Hook marks from hanging parts for coating, unless the finish fails

- Write a description of the damage and take clear photos
- Include a copy of the original invoice
- RCI inspects the part and decides whether to repair or replace it

A cracked transmission pan is an expensive way to end a trail day. This RCI Offroad skid plate covers the Frontier's transmission and the second and third crossmembers with CNC laser-cut metal, your choice of 3/16" steel or 1/4" aluminum. It ties in with RCI's engine and transfer-case skids if you want full coverage, and it works fine on its own.
Service openings let you do maintenance without pulling the plate, edges are reinforced between the crossmembers, and the underside is smooth so it slides over obstacles. Black powdercoat is available for a durable, rust-resistant finish. Made in the USA.
Fitment
Built for 2005 to present Nissan Frontier. RCI has verified fit on 4-door short bed 4x4 models and suspects it fits other configurations, but those are not yet confirmed. If yours is something else, check with us first.

The transmission skid plate and a hardware kit.
Install notes
Direct bolt-on to the factory attachment points, no drilling, and it goes on in minutes. Weight is 47 lbs in 3/16" steel or 22 lbs in 1/4" aluminum, which is worth knowing if you are lifting it overhead by yourself.
