- Write a description of the damage and take clear photos
- Include a copy of the original invoice
- RCI inspects the part and decides whether to repair or replace it

The factory skid on a GX 460 attaches directly to the transfer case, so a hard hit goes straight into the case instead of spreading across the chassis. This RCI Metalworks plate is built to fix that. It is a laser-cut, flat-bottomed panel that covers the transfer case, the third crossmember and the exhaust pipe, and its edges are reinforced between the crossmembers so it keeps its shape when it takes a hit.
You pick the material: 3/16" steel or 1/4" aluminum. Steel comes with a satin black powdercoat as standard, and the aluminum plate is offered either powdercoated or bare. The smooth underside is meant to slide over rocks and ledges rather than hang up on them. Made in the USA.

Made for all 2010 to present Lexus GX 460 models.
What's included
The skid plate, a powdercoated steel support crossmember, all mounting hardware and installation instructions. The crossmember is 3/16" steel on every version, including the aluminum plate.
Install notes
It bolts to the existing factory attachment points with no drilling, and RCI says it installs in minutes. An installation guide is available from the vendor.

Does this fit my GX 460?
It is made for all 2010 to present Lexus GX 460 models.
Do I need to drill anything?
No. It bolts to the factory attachment points.
Steel or aluminum?
Steel is 3/16" and comes powdercoated black. Aluminum is 1/4" and is offered bare or powdercoated. Both use the same powdercoated steel crossmember.
Is hardware included?
Yes, all hardware and installation instructions are provided.
