The factory plate on these trucks bolts directly to the transfer case, so an impact goes into the case instead of spreading out. This RCI Metalworks plate is meant to complete the underbody protection of the 4th generation 4Runner V6 and the FJ Cruiser. It covers the third crossmember, the transfer case and the exhaust pipe, has reinforced edges between the crossmembers, and uses bolt protector rings around exposed bolts. The underside is smooth and flat so it slides over obstacles. Made in the USA.
Choose 3/16" laser-cut steel or 1/4" 5052 aluminum, raw or black powdercoated. The crossmember is powdercoated steel in every option.
Fitment
Fits the 2003 to 2009 Toyota 4Runner V6 (4.0L) and the 2007 to 2014 FJ Cruiser. The variant names also list the GX 470. A V8 version is sold separately.
