RCI's GX 460 package covers the full underside in one order: a front engine skid, a transmission skid, a transfer-case skid and the transfer-case cross-member. Together they protect the front two cross-members, the low-hanging front differential, oil pan, transmission, the second and third cross-members, the exhaust cross pipe and the transfer case. The plates are CNC laser cut and fitted to the GX, in your choice of 3/16" steel or 1/4" aluminum.
A few design details matter on the trail. The engine plate has center mounting posts for added strength and a differential drop cage, which gives more ground clearance and lets you run a differential drop kit without spacing the plate down. Oil drain holes allow oil changes without removing plates, reinforced edges stiffen the spans between cross-members, and bolt protector rings shield exposed hardware. The transmission plate is RCI's latest and strongest design.
Fitment
2010-2024 Lexus GX 460. The transmission plate is matched to the engine: choose the 4.0L V6 or the 4.6/4.7L V8 option.
What's included
Engine, transmission and transfer-case skid plates plus the transfer-case cross-member. The cross-member is always 3/16" black powdercoated steel, even on aluminum builds, for structural integrity.
Install notes
Direct bolt-on to existing factory attachment points with no drilling. Hardware and instructions are supplied.
