On a GX 460 the rocker panel is the first thing to go when the trail gets tight, and it is an expensive panel to replace. These RCI rock sliders mount to the frame through a full-length 1/4" frame plate with up to 15 mounting points on each side, so impacts go into the frame rather than the body. They replace the factory side steps and still work as a step.
The main tube is 2" square with 1.75" DOM outer rails as standard and 1/4" gussets on all legs. The tube ends are mitered at 45 degrees to follow the body and avoid hanging up, and the rear has RCI's low profile kick-out. RCI says they can carry the whole side of the vehicle for hi-lift lifting or sliding over rock. Built in the USA.
Options
The standard angle is 20 degrees, with 5 degrees available. Pick satin black powdercoat over epoxy primer or bare metal, and with or without a bolt-on dimpled tread plate. RCI recommends 5 degrees if you add the tread plate.
Fitment
Listed for the 2010-present Lexus GX 460. They are compatible with KDSS. The factory trim and side steps have to be removed to fit them.
Install notes
Direct bolt-on to existing mounting locations, no drilling, with basic hand tools. Grade 5 hardware is provided.
