The rear lower link mounts are a vulnerable spot on these trucks, and this pair of lower link skids covers them. RCI cuts the plates from 3/16-inch steel, adds a black powder coat, and gives them a smooth, flat surface for sliding over obstacles. A heavy-duty replacement bolt for the lower link is included, which is a nice detail since you have to pull the original anyway.
The attachment method is the part to be aware of: the design needs two holes drilled to secure the front edge to the vehicle frame. RCI argues this makes a solid attachment point. If you want a no-drill product, this is not it.

Listed for the 2003-2024 Toyota 4Runner and FJ Cruiser, and the title also lists GX models. The description names only the 4Runner and FJ Cruiser, so call us to confirm if you own a GX.
