What's covered

- Improper installation, alteration, abuse, neglect or accidents
- Corrosion and normal wear
- Off-road damage (with some exceptions RCI decides case by case)
- Freight, labor, installation or downtime costs
- Hook marks from hanging parts for coating, unless the finish fails
How to make an RCI warranty claim
- Write a description of the damage and take clear photos
- Include a copy of the original invoice
- RCI inspects the part and decides whether to repair or replace it

KDSS changes what lives under the front of a GX 470, so it needs its own skid. This RCI Metalworks engine skid plate is made specifically for KDSS-equipped 2003-2009 GX 470s and covers the front two cross-members, the low-hanging front differential and the oil pan.
Why it works
- Aluminum construction: laser cut from 1/4" aluminum.
- Stiffer where it counts: reinforced edges between the cross-members add rigidity.
- Protected hardware: bolt protector rings shield exposed bolt heads.
- Slides over obstacles: a smooth, flat surface helps the truck glide rather than hang up.
Fitment
2003-2009 Lexus GX 470 with KDSS only. If your GX 470 does not have KDSS, this is the wrong plate; RCI's standard 4Runner / GX 470 / FJ Cruiser engine skid plate is the one you want.
Options
Material is fixed at 1/4" aluminum. Choose bare metal (RCI-GX470-FRONT-KDSS-ALRAW) or satin black powdercoat (RCI-GX470-FRONT-KDSS-ALBK).
