What's covered

- Improper installation, alteration, abuse, neglect or accidents
- Corrosion and normal wear
- Off-road damage (with some exceptions RCI decides case by case)
- Freight, labor, installation or downtime costs
- Hook marks from hanging parts for coating, unless the finish fails

- Write a description of the damage and take clear photos
- Include a copy of the original invoice
- RCI inspects the part and decides whether to repair or replace it

This package covers a 4th-generation 4Runner with front, transmission, transfer-case and cross-member skid plates, in 3/16" laser-cut steel or 1/4" laser-cut aluminum. It protects the front two cross-members, the low-hanging front differential, oil pan, transmission, second and third cross-members, exhaust cross pipe and transfer case. It is a good upgrade or replacement for weak, lightweight OEM plates. Made in the USA.
The engine skid plate now comes with center mounting posts for more strength and includes a differential drop cage, which gives security and ground clearance and lets you run differential drop kits without spacing the plate down. Edges between cross-members are reinforced, and bolt protector rings shield exposed bolts. Steel plates are black powder coated, and powder coat is optional on aluminum.
Fitment
2003-2009 Toyota 4Runner, and 2003-2009 Lexus GX 470 non-KDSS models; choose the V8 option for the GX 470. Options exist for the 4.0L V6 and the 4.6/4.7L V8.
What's included
Front, transmission, transfer-case and cross-member skid plates with Grade 8 hardware and instructions.
Install notes
Direct bolt-on to factory attachment points, no drilling. Built-in oil drain holes allow oil changes without removal; on V8 models the front skid plate must come off to reach the oil filter. Transfer-case crossmembers now come with black powder coat standard.

Does it fit a KDSS GX 470?
No. It fits non-KDSS GX 470 models only, and you choose the V8 option.
Does it work with V6 and V8 4Runners?
Yes, there are options for the 4.0L V6 and the 4.6/4.7L V8.
Can I use a differential drop kit?
Yes. The engine plate includes a differential drop cage so you do not have to space the plate down.
Oil changes?
Oil drain holes allow it without removal; on V8s the front plate must come off to reach the filter.
