The front of a Ram 1500 carries a lot of expensive hardware low and exposed. This RCI Metalworks engine skid plate protects the power steering unit, the front differential, the front cross-member, the engine and the oil pan, and it is substantially tougher than the factory skids it replaces or supplements.
It uses seven mounting points to the frame horns behind the tow hooks, and a two-piece design lets you take off subsections for maintenance. Installation requires removing the air dam.
Fitment
Compatible with 4x4 Ram 1500 trucks on the 2019-present chassis. It is not compatible with 4" or taller lift kits.
Options
10 gauge steel with a heavy-duty black powdercoat is the all-purpose value pick. 1/4" aluminum is lighter and corrosion resistant, and comes bare or in satin black powdercoat.
Install notes
It bolts directly to existing factory attachment points with no drilling, and all mounting hardware is included. Made in the USA.
