This RCI skid plate protects the front of the 5th generation 4Runner, the FJ Cruiser and the GX 460: the front two crossmembers, the low-hanging front differential and the oil pan. It is CNC laser cut from 3/16" steel or 1/4" aluminum, with reinforced edges between the crossmembers, bolt protector rings around exposed bolts, and a smooth flat underside that slides over rock. Service openings make oil changes possible without removal. Center mounting points keep strength up in both materials, and a differential cage lets the plate sit tighter to the vehicle. Made in the USA.
It is designed to work with or without a differential drop kit, so you do not have to choose protection over lift. Choose KDSS or Non-KDSS to match your suspension.
Fitment
Fits 2010 to 2024 4Runner, FJ Cruiser and GX 460, intended for 4x4 models. The KDSS version fits 2010 and newer GX 460, but the oil filter access is not used on that vehicle.

Does it fit the GX 460?
Yes. The KDSS version fits 2010+ GX 460, although the oil filter access is not used on that vehicle.
Does it work with a diff drop kit?
Yes. It is designed to work with or without differential drop kits.
Can I change the oil without removing it?
Yes, there are service openings for oil changes without removal.
Do I need to drill?
No. It bolts to existing factory attachment points.
Is it for 2WD?
It is intended for 4x4 models.
