The DRIFTR roof rack is Backwoods' low-profile, modular platform, and this version is made for the 2024-2026 Lexus GX 550. It's made in the USA from 1/4" aluminum, installs without drilling and opens up a whole system of add-ons, from awning mounts to deck panels.
Why it works
- 1x3 triple-slotted extrusions with roll-in T-nut hardware, so gear mounts anywhere along the slots.
- Pre-drilled holes and slots in the sides let you move extrusions along the length of the rack.
- Adjustable front fairing.
- Lighting provisions: slotted 1/4" and 3/8" cutouts on the front and rear fairings, plus rear chase-light pockets (tabbed, cut out only if you want them) sized for Baja Designs S1/S2 or similar lights.
- Side-rail handle cutouts.
- 68 lb, 46.5" W x 95" L; no added height above the factory antenna.
- Rated 300 lb dynamic and 700 lb static.

Install notes
