The Lensun 240W Full Black Flexible Solar Panel uses LONGi Back Contact cells rated up to 25.8% efficient, in a panel only 2.5 mm (0.1 inch) thick and 8.2 lbs. Because all electrical contacts sit on the back of the cell, the front is a smooth all-black surface with no visible grid, which looks clean on a topper or camper roof.
It sticks down with adhesive or VHB tape and needs no roof reinforcement or drilling. Lensun says the back-contact design produces up to 10% more energy than traditional PERC panels and about 20% more power than conventional monocrystalline panels when partly shaded by racks, awnings, gear or branches. It also claims steadier output when dust or debris covers part of the panel and 20% lower power loss at high temperatures. Operating range is -40°F to 185°F, with a stated 30-year lifespan.
