The Backwoods Extra Shelf is a second (or third) shelf for the Backwoods aluminum storage boxes. Every box already ships with a shelf; this one is for the setups where one level isn't enough to keep tools, recovery gear and camp kit from ending up in one pile.
Why it works
It's cut from 1/8" aluminum, the same gauge as the boxes themselves, and it comes powder coated so it matches what's already inside. The shelf rides on the adjustable mounts built into the box, so you set the height around the gear you actually carry rather than around a fixed bracket. Add a second level for small, flat items and keep the floor of the box for the heavy stuff.
Fitment
- Made only for Backwoods storage boxes: the mid-size Bed Rack Storage Box and the Universal Overland Storage Box (19x28x15).
- Backwoods' own compatibility list also shows the Jeep Gladiator Bed Rack Storage Box. If that's the box you run, call us and we'll confirm before it ships.
- It will not fit other brands' boxes.

Will this fit a storage box from another brand?
No. Backwoods makes it only for its own Bed Rack Storage Box and Universal Overland Storage Box (19x28x15).
Doesn't the box already come with a shelf?
Yes. Each Backwoods box includes a shelf. This is an extra one for setups that need another level of organization.
Can I set the shelf height?
Yes. The shelf sits on adjustable mounts inside the box, so you choose the height.
Is hardware included?
