The front differential is the lowest, most exposed part of a JK front axle, and this Dana 44 skid plate gives it armor. It is made for Wranglers with the D44 front axle and helps the Jeep slide across rocks instead of snagging on them.
By shielding the front differential and pinion area from direct hits, the plate helps prevent oil leaks and long-term damage to the axle housing. Six mounting points secure it for off-road use, and the finish is micro-texture black powder coat. A paintable aluminum logo plate is included if you want to match the rest of your build.
It targets the damage that comes from technical trails: direct hits to the front differential and the oil leaks that can follow. If your JK is a Sport, Sahara or Willys with the D30, this is not the right skid, so check your axle first.
Fitment
2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK with the Dana 44 front axle (Rubicon). It does not fit Dana 30 front axles (Sport, Sahara, Willys) and is not compatible with aftermarket differential covers.

Will it fit my Sport or Sahara?
No. Those use the Dana 30 front axle, and this plate is for D44 axles only.
Can I use it with an aftermarket diff cover?
No. It is not compatible with aftermarket differential covers.
Does a Rubicon fit?
Yes. The Rubicon is the D44 front axle application this skid is built for.
Is the logo plate painted?
It is a paintable aluminum plate, so you can finish it however you like.
