The Chunk is a quick-release bracket from Dirtbox Overland for taking an awning, water tank or shower setup off the vehicle in seconds, without tools. If you park somewhere that is not secure, you can unclip a 270 degree awning or side-mounted tank and store it indoors.
It is modular: put a set of brackets on your awning, another on the water tank and another on the shower kit, then move the base mounts to whichever gear you are using. It installs on a canopy camper, topper or roof rack, has a tight, rattle-free fit, and is machined in the USA.
Dirtbox suggests an optional McMaster-Carr double-locking quick-release pin with key, 3/8 inch diameter and 1-3/4 inch usable length, for added security while gear is mounted. The pin is not included and is bought separately from McMaster-Carr.
Fitment
Canopy campers, toppers and roof racks. Choose a single bracket or a set of 2.
