The Dirtbox Overland Truck Bed Topper is a gullwing-door truck cap built from T5 and T6 extruded aluminum, designed, fabricated and tested in-house by Dirtbox. Every unit is TIG and laser welded, and it is meant to work both as a job-site cap and as an overland camping shell. Depending on bed length it weighs 150 to 230 lbs, with a low-profile shape that Dirtbox says helps aerodynamics.
Dual L-Track rails are built into the roof, so solar panels, ladder racks, kayaks, skis, tie-downs and recovery gear all have somewhere to mount. Each topper arrives pre-wired and plug-and-play with dimmable LED interior lighting, a 12 V outlet and USB-A and USB-C ports. The optional Kingpin Light Package adds light under the bed platform and at the rear door.
Standard front and rear windows let light in, and a front sliding pass-through window moves air between the cab and the bed. The dual gullwing doors have recessed frames and automotive-grade seals against dust and water, and a dedicated weather seal at the front panel keeps debris away from the cab side.
Fitment
Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon (5 foot and 6 foot beds, 2015+), Chevy/GMC 1500 (5'7" and 6'6" beds, 2019+) and Chevy/GMC 2500-3500 (6'5" bed, 2007-2019 and 2020+). The vendor lists many more vehicle options than we can confirm here, so ask us if your truck is not named.
