The Freestanding 270 Degree Awning from Dirtbox Overland wraps shade around the side and rear of a truck or SUV. It covers 90 square feet in 320 GSM ripstop fabric and weighs 44 lbs, which Dirtbox positions as light for a 270 degree awning. It opens and packs away in under 30 seconds.
As the name says, it is freestanding: in most conditions it stands without support legs, and integrated aluminum legs deploy when you want extra stability in wind. The frame is flexible aluminum meant to bend under stress rather than break. The fabric is waterproof, UV-resistant ripstop nylon, and a vinyl storage cover protects it in transit and is designed to stay flexible in sub-zero temperatures.
Built-in extras include dimmable LED lighting with no extra wiring, and a gear storage grid that unfolds with the awning for items like power stations, stakes, keys and tools.
