This is a hard shell awning that opens into a fully enclosed privacy room, built for showers and changing at camp. The case is extruded aluminum and lockable, which protects the fabric from UV, low branches and trail abuse. Because it is a hard case rather than a soft cover, the interior dries out faster and is less likely to hold moisture and mildew between trips.
Two hydraulic struts and built-in support arms deploy all the panels together in seconds, and it packs down the same way. The fabric is dual-layer: an insulated center section for temperature control and privacy, with an upper section that passes light through. Two zippered doors give access from either side, control rods help hold the shape in wind, and reinforced tie-down points add stability when needed.
Zippered ports let a shower hose or wiring pass into the enclosure, and Velcro points help you position a shower head. An LED light strip is available as an option. The curtain length is adjustable, and Dirtbox notes that on lifted vehicles or larger tires the curtain may hang slightly above ground, which keeps it out of mud and sand.
