The 90 Degree Swing Out Bracket is an original Dirtbox design, introduced in 2023, aimed at a common problem: side-mounted accessories that sit tight against the vehicle and get in the way of doors, tailgates, ladders, spare tires and storage compartments. This bracket lets the accessory swing away from the vehicle to roughly 90 degrees when you are set up at camp.
To deploy it, you release a spring-loaded locking pin and swing the bracket outward. A gas strut assists the motion so it opens quickly and smoothly, and you return it to the travel position and secure it before you drive. The pivot is described as maintenance-free, the mounting is reversible, and the body is heavy-duty aluminum extrusion.
Dirtbox lists it as suited to hard shell shower awnings, shower enclosures, privacy rooms, canopy campers, truck bed rack systems, rooftop tent setups, vans and SUV or truck builds. It was designed with the Dirtbox Hard Shell Shower Awning in mind.
Fitment
The bracket is not tied to a single vehicle. It is meant for compatible side-mounted accessories, so confirm that your accessory and mounting position work with it before ordering.
