The Overland+ system has been a favorite on newer Wranglers, and Clayton Off Road has now brought it to the TJ-platform Wrangler Unlimited. This 4.0" short arm kit is designed for the 2004-2006 Wrangler LJ and is the one to look at if ride quality matters as much as the height.
The headline is the control arms: all eight are adjustable and carry Clayton's dual-durometer Giiro bushings at each end. Giiro joints pivot freely, self-lubricate, self-center and run silently without maintenance, and Clayton says they hold up to extreme use while damping vibration. The kit is 100 percent bolt-on and is covered by Clayton's lifetime warranty. Clayton says the 4.0 inch lift also adds ground clearance for rocks, climbs and obstacles.
