This rear hatch ladder gives a 5th Gen 4Runner a secure way up to the roof rack, rooftop tent, cargo box, traction boards and camping gear. It uses a 16-gauge steel top mounting plate, a 10-gauge steel bottom mount, and 3/16-inch aluminum side rails and steps, which keeps it lighter than an all-steel design. The whole ladder is finished in black powder coat.
The honest trade-off is that it requires drilling, in exchange for a more secure installation than clamp-style ladders. Optional MOLLE panels, sold separately, add space for RotopaX, recovery gear and other MOLLE accessories.
Fitment
Fits the 2010-2024 Toyota 4Runner (5th Gen), all trims. It works with factory roof rails and aftermarket roof rack setups.
