The Avix Trailtek R/T is a rugged-terrain tire for trucks and SUVs that get driven hard on the weekend and every day in between. It bites harder off-road than a typical all-terrain, and it stays quieter and more comfortable on the highway than a mud-terrain. Avix is built by Wheel Pros, the company behind Fuel, KMC and Black Rhino, so you get trail-proven construction without paying extra for a big-name logo.
Why the Trailtek R/T
- 3-ply sidewall. Three plies of reinforcement where many tires use two, for better resistance to rocks, cuts and punctures.
- Dual-purpose tread. Double-block shoulders for grip and stability off-road, with a noise-reducing pattern and high-silica compound for wet and dry braking on pavement.
- Ladder-step tread blocks. Less tread squirm for steadier handling, plus built-in wear indicators at 100%, 75%, 50% and 25% so you always know how much tread is left.
- Stone and mud ejectors. Help clear debris from the grooves to keep traction up and protect the casing.
- Two sidewall looks. Choose the sidewall face that fits your build.
- All-weather capable. A staggered center tread keeps its bite in snow, mud, loose rock and gravel.
- Treadwear warranty. Avix backs the Trailtek R/T with up to a 45,000-mile limited treadwear warranty; current sizes carry 40,000 miles. See our Avix warranty page.

Avix Trailtek R/T Rugged Terrain Tire FAQs
What is an R/T tire?
Rugged-terrain tires sit between all-terrain and mud-terrain: more off-road grip than an A/T, with better road manners and less noise than an M/T.
Is the Trailtek R/T loud on the highway?
It is quieter than a full mud-terrain, but you will hear a bit more than a highway tire. Avix designed the tread to keep drone under control.
What load range is it?
Most sizes are Load Range E (10-ply rated). 33x12.50R20, 35x12.50R20, LT305/55R20 and 35x12.50R22 are Load Range F (12-ply rated).
Is it good in snow?
Avix rates it for all weather, including snow and mud, with a staggered center tread for bite on snowy roads.
What is the warranty?
Up to a 45,000-mile limited treadwear warranty; current sizes carry 40,000 miles.
Are tires sold as a set?
Tires are priced each. Add four, or five with a matching spare, for a full set.
